We at [gym name] were discouraged to hear the news of USA Climbing’s original Transgender Athlete Participation policy and the many ways it impacted and excluded transgender athletes.
It has come to our attention that with TAP now paused, USA Climbing is considering a new process for a new policy that may include trans climbers in its creation. Thank you.
We are writing in support of this idea and the belief that it will create a better policy for the sport we love.
